Mason Electrical win NECA 2022 Award for Industrial Small Project
At the 2022 NECA WA Excellence Award Night, Mason Electrical Engineering Contractors were proud to win in the category of Industrial Small Project for WA which was presented in front of more than 500 guests at The Westin Perth on Friday, 22 July 2022.
The outcome of the project itself was a big achievement where our design and installation will support valuable research including identifying heat-resistant coral, monitoring of endangered species and understanding marine animals’ movements and behaviour. It is one of the only facilities in the world that has achieved the level of environmental control required to simulate ocean conditions associated with climate change. This is a significant achievement for our business.
The Minderoo Foundation Exmouth Research Lab (MERL) has been designed to provide state-of-the-art facilities, where scientists from all over the world can conduct marine research.
The purpose of the MERL facility is to simulate changes in environmental water conditions to heat and cool to precise temperatures adjustable by 0.1 of a degree of accuracy. The facilities include live coral and reef conditions to simulate different factors including moon phases, atmospheric and water temperatures, acidity and artificial lighting.
This was further recognition that Mason Electrical Engineering Contractors are an innovative and turn key service provider in the industrial electrical industry which we couldn’t have done without the assistance of:
Massive thanks to everyone involved and we look forward to continuing our work in the service providing sectors to assist WA.
