For all three contracts Mason Electrical Engineering Contractors has been the electrical contractor for SAGE Automation.  We have taken the existing radio and telephone line network and upgraded it to next G technology. This contract is still in progress, with works to be completed in 2021.

On each site completed to date, the outcomes have included the following:

  • All works have been carried out on schedule and on budget using a small, dedicated team
  • The team have been quickly mobilised to each site, including remote sites
  • As a result of our work, aging infrastructure has been replaced with next gen equipment, future proofing the system for many years to come
  • The Water Corporation now has a modern telecommunications interface. This enables its metropolitan operations centre to carry out state-wide monitoring of all Water Corporation assets
  • We have ensured a smooth transition and cutover of live assets, enabling the Water Corporation to meet its customer charter and licensing requirements.  This ensured there were no incidents involving unsafe water or interrupted water supplies
  • All works have been carried out within our stringent Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Standards

To ensure effective integration and a no-fault cutover, it is critical for all personnel to have operational knowledge of Water Corporation assets. Throughout this project our team have demonstrated their understanding and experience with:

  • Water infrastructure projects
  • The operational requirements of Water Corporation assets (including tank sites, chlorination module, waste water pump stations, booster pump stations, telemetry repeater sites and vacuum pump stations)
  • Water Corporation’s design needs and project requirements
